Building, Grounds & Maintenance Internship
We are now accepting applications for the Building, Grounds & Maintenance Internship.
Work on the sustainably built houses and buildings at Sirius. Learn sustainable practices and how to gain independent living skills including construction, electrical, plumbing, green building & repair in a thriving ecovillage. No experience required.
The Building, Grounds and Maintenance Internship is a work-trade program with an additional $200/month stipend, pending experience. Participants will work with the crew for 5 days/week with input from cofocalizers Daniel Bushman and Bruce Davidson. This is an opportunity to experience living in an intentional and sustainable community and we ask for a willingness to be actively engaged with the community.
A typical day for participants looks like this, with 2 days off per week as well:
- 7:30am – Optional Meditation (some days)
- 8:00am – Breakfast
- 9:00 – 1:00 – Work with the Crew
- 1:00 – 2:30 – Lunch
- 2:30 – 5:00 – Work with the Crew
- 6:30 – 7:30 – Community Dinner
- 8:30 – 10:00 – Optional meetings and events (some days)
